On 10.10.2024 at 7.30 p.m, the accused voluntarily caused hurt to PW1 with a wooden log. Based on the complaint (Ex.P1), a case was registered under Section 324 IPC.

The accusation under Sec.324 IPC was read over and explained. The accused pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.

Point No.1 & 2
PW1 is an injured witness and his testimony is natural and trustworthy.
His evidence is corroborated by PW3 doctor and Ex.P2 wound certificate.
The weapon (M.O.1) was recovered based on accused’s disclosure.
There is no material contradiction.
Hence prosecution has proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Both points are answered in favour of prosecution.
7. Finding / Conviction
The accused is found guilty for the offence under Section 324 IPC.
8. Sentence Order
After hearing the accused regarding sentence:
The accused is sentenced to:
- 6 months Simple Imprisonment, and
- Fine Rs. 1,000/-, in default 1 month SI.
The period of detention already undergone, if any, shall be set off under Section 428 Cr.P.C.
