Shah, Justice Aniruddha Bose<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Background<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jitendra Singh claimed land in Madhya Pradesh based on a <strong>will<\/strong> allegedly executed by his grandmother (Smt. Ananti Bai).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He applied for <strong>mutation<\/strong> (entry of his name in land revenue records).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem: He applied for mutation <strong>before his grandmother had died<\/strong> (application in Aug 2011, she died later that same month).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The will itself was <strong>disputed<\/strong> by other heirs (daughters of Ananti Bai).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Procedural History<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nayab Tehsildar (2011):<\/strong> Allowed Jitendra Singh\u2019s application and mutated his name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDO (2018):<\/strong> Cancelled that order and rejected mutation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Additional Commissioner (2019):<\/strong> Restored mutation in Jitendra Singh\u2019s favour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>High Court (2020):<\/strong> Cancelled mutation again.
